IT Support Engineer, London, £26k-30K
Excellent new opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a sizeable, well established, fast moving commercial organisation in a prestigious location in London. We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with 1st and 2nd line experience. Technical focus is primarily mainly Microsoft desktop, and the role is ideal for candidates who having worked previously for a medium to large corporate organisation have a keen interest and working experience of Corporate Voice, Video and data networks and audio visual systems.
The role requires a strong customer focus and a good standard of technical knowledge. Daily duties involve delivering 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users within the business and carrying out support tasks. You will be resolving incidents, as well as resolving potential problems before they occur and contributing to other projects to ensure the business IS plans are successfully delivered.
Experience required in:
Microsoft Desktop operating systems including Windows Server and Desktop, XP, Windows 7, and Office 2010/2013
Active Directory, Sharepoint and Exchange 2007/2010 environments
Relevant certifications such as MCSE or CISCO CCNA are highly desirable.
Experience in an ITIL environment or ISO 20000, ISO 27001 environment is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills on a technical and non-technical basis.
Good understanding of IT in a large corporate environment
Ability and desire to learn new technical skills.
Good analytical thinker.
The ability to think on your feet and multi-task with the ability to operate under pressure is essential.
A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Salary up to £30k
